  Tourist Attraction

Although you may be visiting a whole host of family and friends in Punjab, taking time out to see some of the many sites and attractions on offer is thoroughly recommended. The most prominent tourist attraction around Magicland is the Radha Soami Dera, Beas. As our resort is only a short drive from Amritsar, there are a number of tourist attractions that are well worth visiting in the local and surrounding areas. Most prominently, these include the Golden Temple, the Jallianwala Bagh, the Durgiana Mandir and the Wagah Border. Also worth a visit are the Havelli in Jallandhar; the City of Palaces, Kapurthala; Lake Kanjli for boating; the birthplace of the Khalsa at Anandpur Sahib; and of course Chandigarh and Jallandhar for some retail therapy.

Radha Soami Dera, Beas
Located minutes from Magicland, on the banks of River Beas, Radha Soami Dera is a place revered and visited by the followers of the Radha Soami Sect. Established here by Jaimal Singh Ji Maharaj, this place should be high on your itinerary if you intend visiting Beas.

Golden Temple
Located in the heart of the city is the Golden Temple, the most visited tourist attraction in Amritsar. Characterized by its four entrance doors (called deoris) and the tastefully decorated, artistic and architectural shrines, the Golden Temple welcomes everyone regardless of their chosen religion or faith. The stunning sanctum, shimmering in the water of the holy tank, flanked by spotlessly clean marble walkways and pavements makes it breathtakingly beautiful.
Jalianwala Bagh
A historical monument that tells the sad story of a mass killing during the independence movement in India, Jalianwallah Bagh is another must visit in Amritsar. Here lies the memorial of the martyrs of the 1919 massacre by British General Dyer. Presently the place also has a park. The Martyr's Gallery is open from 9am to 5pm in summers and from 10am to 4pm during winters.
Durgiana Mandir
Amritsar also houses a wonderful temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Durga. Easily accessible from the Golden Temple, the Durgiana Mandir also offers puja to deities of Lakshmi and Narayana. Supposedly built during the 16th century AD, the temple lies in the middle of a medium sized lake giving it a wonderful overall view. The temple, a massive structure, was built on the style of the nearby Golden Temple, and well worth a visit.
Wagah Border
One of the many nearby places to Amritsar is the Wagah Border. Located on the Indo-Pakistan border, Wagah is 28km from Amritsar main town. A good number of visitors come to this place to see the change of guards ceremony and the flag hoisting and lowering activities which are carried out with great skill and precision by the border security forces of both countries. A 'sight' you cannot afford to miss!
Chandigarh
With so much to see and do in Chandigarh, this city goes a long way to prove its the capital of Punjab & Haryana. Sukhna Lake, the Rock and Rose Gardens, the Museum & Art Gallery and Sector 17 & 22 highlight a few of the great reasons why its worth making a trip to Chandigarh.
Anandpur Sahib
The birthplace of the Khalsa, Anandpur Sahib is THE place to visit, whether you're a passing tourist, a casual observer, or a devout follower of the faith. About 300 years ago, it was here that Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji moulded Sikhism as we know it today. Though there are many important Gurudwara's in India, this Gurudwara, the Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, was the one where Guru Sahib Ji baptized ordinary Sikhs into Khalsa-Saint Soldiers.
